Affordable Home Care Services in Charlotte County
You want the best care for your family, and you need affordable options. Home Instead Senior Care® of Charlotte County offers trusted home care services at reasonable rates. We can tailor a home care arrangement to fit both your family’s lifestyle and budget.
A common misconception is that having a one-on-one caregiver in your home is the most expensive option. As you will see below, Home Care services offer the best solution at the lowest cost when compared to facilities.
Home Care Rates in Charlotte County
We specialize in serving families throughout the Charlotte County area. We believe you should spend your money on care, so understanding the amount of care your loved one will receive is most important. Facilities roll the cost of rent and facilities into their rates which results in less actual care for the client.
Unlike the high, fixed costs associated with assisted living facilities or nursing homes, the price of in-home care stays flexible to meet your needs. Home caregiving allows you to keep control of your budget by scheduling as few or as many hours of care as you need.
The chart below is a cost comparison of the many types of senior care from the 2018 Genworth Cost of Care Survey for the Southwest Florida.
The Genworth Study’s rates for Home Care Services above are based on 44 hours of care a week. Most seniors require nowhere near that amount of care a week to stay successful at home.
Our clients average 20-25 hours of care a week. That is how we provide at least a 50% cost savings compared to any facility or community based care options. Also, the care is in your home, on your schedule and tailored to you!
Long-Term Care Insurance
Some long-term care insurance policies cover in-home care services. Check your policy to see if it covers the services you need at home. We work with many long-term care (LTC) insurance companies to bring you the covered services you need over the short or long term.
We submit all necessary paperwork directly to the LTC insurance company for you. We also offer a service to help you manage your reimbursements from your LTC insurance company.
The Veterans Administration also offers financial programs that pay cash to veterans and/or their spouses. These funds may be used to help pay for home care for veterans.
It’s often a confusing and burdensome process to figure out if your insurance or the Veterans Administration will cover the home care services you need. We’re here to help. We are proud to say that we have helped many veterans in our 15 years in business. We work hand-in-hand with the Veterans Administration and can help you find out if you qualify for any VA programs.
Medicare & Medicaid Diversion Programs
Our home care services are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid directly. The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the State of Florida and local County Governments recognize the high cost of facility-based care. So they developed diversion programs to provide in-home care for seniors in order to divert or delay them from needing care in a facility. Funding for the care is not provided directly by the Federal, State or Local government but rather through local provider entities. We are currently and have provided care to seniors for the past 16 years through these programs. Give us a call at (239) 433-4025 and we can help get you in touch with the local representatives for these programs.
