Johnny and Marilyn are the owners of the Home Instead^® Senior Care franchise office in Cape Coral, which serves all of Northern Lee County. They know how important in-home senior care services can be to families as they were primary caregivers for both sets of parents. The time spent with parents in declining health, plus maintaining the day-to-day activities of their own children and grandchildren, has provided the inspiration and experience for the Longs to pursue the Home Instead^® Senior Care mission.

After graduating from Michigan State University with two degrees, John was seeking a rewarding and fulfilling career. Upon speaking with Johnny and Marilyn about Home Instead^® Senior Care, John jumped at the opportunity to join them in opening the Cape Coral office. Joining the family business has provided John the personal satisfaction of attaining his goals and, at the same time, the experience of helping our seniors lead a more healthy and happy life. Being the office’s first CAREGiver^SM, John learned how important of a role a CAREGiver^SM can play in the livelihood of our clients and their families. He draws from that experience when working with our CAREGivers^SM to make sure they provide the best possible care our clients can receive.
